BAU ONLINE 2021
We take a look at the online event that ran, which took place for the first time in a purely digital format from 13 to 15 January.
At the beginning of the year, this time it was not Munich that was the international meeting place for the building and architecture industry, but the workstation in the office or at the home office desk. This year, for the first time, the world's leading international trade fair was held exclusively online. And it was shortened to three days instead of the usual six.
Almost 40,000 registered interested parties from Germany and abroad used the online offer of the fair. Despite these significantly lower visitor numbers compared to the last attendance event in 2019, the STÖBICH live appointments or 1:1 talks were well attended.
The fact that an online trade fair is a new field for visitors, organisers and exhibitors was still clearly noticeable at BAU. Nevertheless, at least the establishment of contacts and the exchange with interested parties worked surprisingly well. For us as exhibitors, it was a matter of preparing exciting content in advance so that it could be vividly conveyed in live presentations or video talks. Videos produced especially for this purpose made it possible to present even complex issues in a vivid and lively way.
