Queen Maxima opened the Markthal (market hall) in Rotterdam on October 1, 2014. The ceiling on the inside of the Markthal has the form of an arch and also accommodates apartments. In addition to the apartments in the arch, it is also possible to buy a wide range of food in the Markthal. As the name suggests, the market hall is used by stall holders selling fresh produce.
