How can you motivate pupils to learn and prepare them for life in the most contemporary way possible? In Veenendaal, the architects from NOAHH | Network Oriented Architecture worked very closely with the school management on the design of the CLV. The result is a colourful three-dimensional learning landscape that places great emphasis on sustainability: Some existing elements could be reused; new inventory deliberately consists of recyclable, maintenance-free materials. The interplay of complex architecture, environmental awareness and the involvement of all participants impressed the jury of the ARC21 Interior Award so much that they awarded the project the architecture prize of the same name in 2021. The building is also great when it comes to preventive structural fire protection: ➥ Fibershield®-E fire protection curtains are inconspicuously installed here and prevent the fire from spreading to other rooms in the event of a fire.
