DaCapo College is located in Sittard in the Netherlands and offers all forms of vocational education.
The new central building of the educational institution, which previously had to use several buildings and locations throughout the city, is located in the former Zuyd University of Applied Sciences complex.
Four of DaCapo College's six campuses have moved in here. The 8,000 m² renovation and 2,900 m² new building were designed by architects Povse and Timmermans from Sittard and cost around 19 million euros. Today the site has over 1100 pupils.
Fibershield®-HC fire curtains from STÖBICH were used for the interior finishing of the building. The horizontal closure preserved light spaces in the atrium, ensuring optimal use of daylight. With their discreet integration into the building structure, the fire protection closures of textile design ensure an almost invisible overall impression - with safety.
